Who are we?

Barnton Fine Foods and Post Office is situated in the Barnton/Cramond area of Edinburgh. You will find us on the parade of shops just behind the old Barnton Hotel.

Offering Baker, Deli and Food to Go, we have a wide range of treats available.

Daily deliveries of cakes, breads, rolls, savouries arrive from Fisher and Donaldson in Fife and also from Oliphants of Linlithgow.

Raymond makes our scones daily and most days we have a "Homemade Cake of the Day"

Our Deli Shelves are filled with products from Scotland's smaller producers which are always big on taste! Have a look at our blog for full details on the products available.

If you are passing - make sure you pop in to see us. Jayne and Donnie will be on the counter with Raymond, Terry and Kevin in the Post Office.

The best Shortbread we have tasted!


We have tasted lots and lots of shortbread and this is the best shortbread every!
Crystal is from Helensburgh and makes all her shortbread by hand to a traditional family recipe. The shortbread isn't mass produced and you really tell by it's homemade taste.

The shortbread is available at Farmers Markets where you will meet Crystal and her husband Rory or here at barnton Fine Foods.

Pop in and ask us for a wee taste as we have lots of samples.
