Who are we?

Barnton Fine Foods and Post Office is situated in the Barnton/Cramond area of Edinburgh. You will find us on the parade of shops just behind the old Barnton Hotel.

Offering Baker, Deli and Food to Go, we have a wide range of treats available.

Daily deliveries of cakes, breads, rolls, savouries arrive from Fisher and Donaldson in Fife and also from Oliphants of Linlithgow.

Raymond makes our scones daily and most days we have a "Homemade Cake of the Day"

Our Deli Shelves are filled with products from Scotland's smaller producers which are always big on taste! Have a look at our blog for full details on the products available.

If you are passing - make sure you pop in to see us. Jayne and Donnie will be on the counter with Raymond, Terry and Kevin in the Post Office.

Fabulous Organic Eggs from the Highlands


Always insist on the best when it comes to your eggs!!!

We recommend and stock Macleod Organics Free Range, organically fed Chicken's Eggs

They have a friendly brood of hens at Macleod Organics who have the run of a big field, and three roomy hen-houses to roost and lay their eggs in. Eggs are available to buy by the half dozen.

The chickens are provided with shell grit to help their egg shells harden, they're organically fed, are free from antibiotics, and they have plenty of fresh drinking water.

Donnie delivers the Eggs to us on a fortnightly basis when he is down in Edinburgh. As well as delivering in Edinburgh he also swaps Organic produce between the Highlands and the central belt so that nothing goes to waste!

The eggs have the most amazing yellow yolks and once you try them you will be hooked.
