Who are we?

Barnton Fine Foods and Post Office is situated in the Barnton/Cramond area of Edinburgh. You will find us on the parade of shops just behind the old Barnton Hotel.

Offering Baker, Deli and Food to Go, we have a wide range of treats available.

Daily deliveries of cakes, breads, rolls, savouries arrive from Fisher and Donaldson in Fife and also from Oliphants of Linlithgow.

Raymond makes our scones daily and most days we have a "Homemade Cake of the Day"

Our Deli Shelves are filled with products from Scotland's smaller producers which are always big on taste! Have a look at our blog for full details on the products available.

If you are passing - make sure you pop in to see us. Jayne and Donnie will be on the counter with Raymond, Terry and Kevin in the Post Office.

Award Winning Handmade Loch Leven tablet in Stock


In stock now - our Bars, Bags and Boxes of our Handmade Loch Leven Tablet.

The tablet has just won a Guild of Fine Foods, Double Gold Star Award for our Original Tablet.

This is the first time we entered the awards and were delighted to achieve the Double Gold Standard. Over 7,500 entries were judged and only 600 gourmet products were awarded Gold Standard.

Why call it Loch Leven Tablet?........Well Loch Leven isn't Loch Leven in Fife, it's Loch Leven in the Highlands, where Donnie originally hails from. Loch Leven Tablet started there and now the business had evolved and developed and become part of Barnton Fine Foods in Edinburgh.
